Reunion Island, an island in the Southern Indian Ocean off the coast of Madagascar, has been recognized by perfume houses around the world for over a century as the source of the finest geranium oil. This variety of geranium oil, Geranium Bourbon (a reference to the island’s former name, Île Bourbon), has a distinctively complex, fresh, green floral scent with delicate rose undertones. It takes an astonishing 400 kilograms of flowers, leaves, and stems to produce one liter of essential oil.

Geranium Bourbon can be worn as a perfume or applied to the skin as part of a skin care regimen.
